Stock Down: Mike Glennon

Throughout the early stages of training camp and the preseason, Mike Glennon had played some quality football. However, his last two performances in games have not been as promising.

With Jon Gruden’s affection towards Nathan Peterman, the backup quarterback job is never secured. Glennon failed to convert through the air inside the red zone for the second consecutive  week. Not ideal for someone who’s battling for reps under center. He finished the game going 9/13 and 78-yards through the air.

In Gruden’s post game press conference he refused to announce who he will name the backup quarterback. It still remains unclear if the Raiders will keep two or three quarterbacks, but after Glennon’s last preseason game, he did not help plead his case.
