Stock Down: De’Mornay Pierson-El

Throughout the majority of preseason play De’Mornay Pierson-El has done the bulk of returning punts. Meanwhile, he’s also seen some time at wide receiver, but his chance of making the team remains greater as a returning specialist. He’d have one last opportunity Thursday night to show his ability.

In Seattle, Pierson-El couldn’t quite find his groove in the return game. Among three punt returns, he only recorded 12-yards. Tough night for a long shot who was in need of a big game in order to start some speculation before the final cut.

Special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia loves Dwayne Harris as he’ll likely get every opportunity in the return game, as well as seeing some snaps at wide receiver once the season gets underway. Pierson-El looks to be a potential practice squad player for Oakland heading into the 2019 season.
