The Oakland Raiders traveled to Seattle for their final preseason game of the year on Thursday night. For many players it was their final opportunity to plead their case for a spot on the final 53-man roster. Here is our stock report from the game against the Seahawks.
After starting preseason play with a 3-0 record, the Raiders couldn’t finalize another victory in week four. Thursday’s matchup in Seattle finished with a final score of 17-15 in favor of the Seahawks.
The Raiders dominated time of possession, having the football for 37:30, but failed to punch it in the end zone when it mattered most. Oakland posted 114-yards more of total offense than Seattle, although the scoreboard wouldn’t show that kind of offensive production.
This week Jon Gruden sat the starters once again, having played just the first-team offense only one series throughout the preseason.
With this game capping off the preseason, the Raiders will now have until Saturday to name their official 53-man roster for the regular season. Big time decisions to come.
