Linebacker (6): Tahir Whitehead, Marquel LeeVontaze BurfictBrandon MarshallNicholas Morrow, Te’von Coney

The Raiders linebacker group has a good mix of veterans and young players, but the leadership of Vontaze Burfict should make all the difference. Burfict will reunite with his old defensive coordinator in Paul Guenther this season, and has been every bit the pro since putting on the Silver and Black.

Alongside veterans Tahir Whitehead and Brandon Marshall, Nicholas Morrow and Marquel Lee did not attend the game in Seattle. That would make one believe that they made the roster, leaving another spot open more than likely. Both Morrow and Lee are looked at as young linebackers who will eventually play a big role on this defense.

The edge goes to Te’von Coney over Jason Cabinda, although both of them have had similar preseasons. Coney is a player I could see starting for the Raiders sometime down the road, but this is one battle that could go either way.
