Best Surprise: Keisean Nixon, CB

Another diamond in the rough was Keisean Nixon, and he showed his arrival to the NFL with a bang in weeks 2 and 3 of the preseason. In week 2, Nixon led the team in tackles as a corner, and in week 3, he ultimately earned his spot on the roster with 5 one on one passes defended.

Nixon did not make the trip to Seattle in week 4, making it clear that he would be making the roster. Nobody expected Nixon to make the team before the preseason, but he was one of the best players on the field at all times.

Nixon came out of South Carolina undrafted, but he is making all the teams that passed on him regret their decision as Mike Mayock nailed another UDFA pickup. This season, he should be a part of a cornerback group that should be much-improved over a year ago.
