Most Improved Player: Nathan Peterman, QB
Going into this season, Nathan Peterman was the laughing stock of the league. Famous for his 5 interceptions in one half of football, nobody expected Peterman to perform the way that he did this preseason.
In 4 games, Peterman completed 71.4% of his passes, throwing for 475 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. Peterman is clearly more comfortable in the Raiders system than he was with the Bills. His main issue with the Bills was his high turnover rate, but out of 84 pass attempts, he didn’t throw a single interception.
Peterman not only played well for the Raiders, but he also out performed Mike Glennon through the preseason, more than likely winning the backup QB job in Oakland. Many mocked Gruden when he gave high praises to Peterman, but after this preseason, he is proving his new head coach right.
