Keelan Doss

Does anyone understand why the Raiders let Keelan Doss go? This move makes it seem like preseason is a complete waste of time, especially considering the buzz Doss was getting around the league.

There is a slim chance that the receiver out of UC Davis ever returns to the Raiders, as he surely will be picked up by another team. We listed Doss as the team MVP of the preseason, he was a diamond in the rough, and the Raiders released him to keep Ryan Grant on the team.

Doss recorded 17 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown, with 6 receptions and 63 yards in his final game of the preseason against the Seahawks. Doss has already improved a ton in his short time in the NFL, and he should continue that trend through his career.

Gruden appeared to love Doss, he dominated in the preseason, and he impressed in practice. All of that makes this move incredibly surprising, and you may ask yourself what more Doss could have done to make the team. Doss will be picked up by another team, and hopefully he does not make the Raiders organization regret their decision.
