Jason Cabinda

Jason Cabinda started three games for the Raiders last season, where he played fairly well. Cabinda has received a ton of playing time in the preseason, and he has performed well in those games, as well.

The Raiders have a few solid linebackers, but depth is incredibly important at that position, but the Raiders did not want to stick with Cabinda. Cabinda is only 23-years old and has a versatile skill set where he can get to the ball from anywhere on the field, so this move is a bit surprising.

Many believed that the Raiders would choose between Cabinda and Coney, but the team parted ways with both. The Raiders will most likely go out and sign another linebacker, but that is always a risk, where as they had a solid, proven linebacker in Cabinda on the team.
