Starters

RB: Josh Jacobs

The consensus No.1 running back in this year’s draft class projects as the starter for the Oakland Raiders. Jacobs bringing a different dimension to the backfield with his skill set, as he can run, pass-catch and block. All in which, the Raiders haven’t had a running back who brings all three things to the table in quite some time.

Jacobs isn’t the prototypical running back prospect as he was used in college with a committee of backs. He wasn’t the workhorse runner that most first-round running backs are, but his ability shows signs that he can develop into an elite back in the coming years.

FB: Alec Ingold

Ingold, the undrafted free-agent out of the University of Wisconsin has made the Raiders final 53-man roster and will start once week one kicks off. Fullbacks are going extinct in today’s NFL, but Jon Gruden will not let go of one of his favorite positions.

Ingold shows some early comparisons to former Raider Marcel Reece, with his ability to not just block, but he can role out of the backfield and catch passes. Ingold’s strong and stocky build allows him to get his shoulder pads low to the ground in order to pave the way for Jacobs busting through the line of scrimmage.
