Competition

The receiving group in Oakland may have been the most competitive on the entire team. With Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, and Hunter Renfrow taking up three spots, there were only a few more positions to go around.

The Raiders had a solid group of young receivers with Keelan Doss, Keon Hatcher, Rico Gafford, and Marcell Ateman, each having their own big moments through the preseason. Most believed that Doss beat out the players within this group to make the roster, but he ended up getting released despite his impressive play in the preseason.

To the surprise of many, none of these players made the lineup, making the receiving group Brown, Williams, Renfrow, J.J. Nelson, Ryan Grant, and Dwayne Harris.
