Josh Jacobs vs Denver’s Defense

Josh Jacobs is sure to get a heavy workload in his first NFL game, and as good as Denver’s defense is advertised to be, their rushing defense ranked in the bottom half of the league last season, allowing 119.6 rushing yards a game.

We haven’t seen much from Jacobs in the NFL, but the couple plays we saw of him in the preseason would get anyone excited about him. Denver’s best defensive players lineup on the outside, so look for the Raiders to pound the ball up the middle with Jacobs all game.

In the first game against Denver last season, Marshawn Lynch rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown, a number that Jacobs should be able to boost a good amount. In the second game against the Broncos, Doug Martin rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown. Once again, Josh Jacobs should improve upon those numbers, especially with an improved offense.
