Oakland Raiders Week 1: 4 best fantasy football options
Derek Carr
Derek Carr’s fantasy stock has taken a hit these past two seasons, and there’s a likelihood that he’s either on your bench as the backup QB or still available on the waiver wire. But Raiders fans know that Carr has proven he’s a franchise QB, that he can stay in the pocket and throw it downfield. This season, Gruden has given Carr the go-ahead to do just that.
Week 1 isn’t an ideal situation, with the Broncos defense lined up across. But Carr has new weapons all around him, it’s likely the last season in Oakland and its Monday Night Football.
His best fantasy season came during his 2016 MVP candidate year when he averaged 17 fantasy points per game. If you’re a believer, then number four can top that in year two of Gruden’s offense.
