Three Stars

1. Derek Carr

For all the noise surrounding Derek Carr this offseason, from people wanting the Raiders to draft a quarterback, to all the drama surrounding Antonio Brown, Carr went out and got the job done on Monday. The six-year veteran completed 22-of-26 passes for over 250 yards and a touchdown, consistently making big throw, after big throw. It was certainly a statement game for No. 4.

2. Tyrell Williams

Moving into the WR1 slot after the team released Brown, Tyrell Williams was an absolute monster on Monday night, showing he has the talent to be the top option in this passing game. Williams hauled in six catches for 105 yards and a score, putting the Raiders on the board early, and then sealing the victory for the Silver and Black late.

3. Raiders rookies

This was a statement game for not only Derek Carr, but also all the rookies the Raiders brought in this offseason. Running back Josh Jacobs proved to be the perfect back for Gruden’s offense, and guys like Clelin Ferrell and Johnathan Abram made plays on the defensive side of the ball. This may be one of the younger teams in the NFL, but these guys can play, and they proved that against a tough Denver team.
