Games 15 and 16

Game No. 15 at Los Angeles Chargers

28. 13. Prediction. 17. 28

The Chargers are right behind the Chiefs in the divisional race, and they need a win against the Raiders here. The Raiders edged out Los Angeles last time, but Phillip Rivers starts the game off better than last time, and Austin Ekeler has a big game catching the ball out of the back field.

The Raiders move the ball well, but cannot find the end zone as often as they need to, and the Chargers get the win that they need to make the playoffs. With one game left on the schedule, the Raiders need a win to move to .500, and double their win total from a year ago.

Record 7-8

Game No. 16 at Denver Broncos

28. 28. 18. 45. Prediction

The Raiders travel to Denver for their last game of the season, and the Broncos haven’t had the season they hoped for. Both teams want to end the season on a win, but the Broncos don’t have much for the Raiders, as they have made their move to a rookie quarterback.

At this point, Drew Lock is the quarterback for the Broncos, and he is struggling big time. After a heavy pass rush forces bad throws, he is intercepted multiple times in the game, and the Raiders are able to capitalize, ending the season on a win. Eight wins is nothing to shake your head at, and with two first rounders in 2020, this is a franchise on the rise, and on the move to Sin City.

Final Record 8-8

The Raiders miss the playoffs, but the season is still a success, doubling their amount of wins from last season, going 3-3 in the AFC West, and competing in nearly every game. Derek Carr proves he is the franchise QB, Josh Jacobs wins Rookie of the Year, and the defense looks as good as it has in a long time.
