Oakland Raiders: 5 wide receivers to target in the 2020 NFL Draft
Tee Higgins – Clemson
The Raiders already have a big receiver in Tyrell Williams (6’4, 205lbs) but if they want to double down on size, they could look at Clemson’s Tee Higgins (6’4, 200lbs).
Higgins is a long fluid athlete that knows precisely how to use his height and length to beat defensive backs. Because of that, he provides his quarterback a large catch radius and like CeeDee Lamb, he open even when covered. And even with a slimmer frame, he plays strong and can make things happen after the catch.
Questions about his speed and explosiveness are in part what is keeping Higgins from being an obvious first-rounder. Though his length and ability to bail out quarterbacks with his catch radius are very intriguing.
We know Derek Carr has no problem throwing the jump balls along the sideline, so a player like Higgins is built for such plays.
Clemson has put out some excellent receiver prospects the past few seasons, and Higgins could be next in line.
