Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders: How to watch
By Brad Weiss
After beating the Denver Broncos in Week 1, the Oakland Raiders welcome in another AFC West foe in the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
The Oakland Raiders surprised a lot of people on Monday night, going into their home game against the Denver Broncos as the underdog, and throttling their AFC West foe. On Sunday, they will look to do the same thing against the Kansas City Chiefs, who are a big favorite heading into Week 2.
For the Raiders, it all started up front against the Broncos, as they were able to keep Derek Carr clean the entire game. Carr, who was sacked over 50 times last season, was not even touched once, which is a testament to how good the offensive line played against an elite edge rushing tandem in Bradley Chubb and Von Miller.
Kansas City comes into this game fresh off a beatdown of the Jacksonville Jaguars, as reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Patrick Mahomes threw for three touchdowns in the opener. He tweaked his ankle during the game but all expectations are that he will be ready to go on Sunday, and is going to be tough to stop.
This is a better Raiders team than we have seen in recent years based on the small sample, but losing Johnathan Abram for the season is going to hurt. Either way, there should be some fireworks inside the Coliseum in Week 2.
Here is how you can catch all of the action Sunday
Who: Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders
When: Sunday, September 15, 2019
Time: 1:05 PM PST/4:05 PM EST
Where: RingCentral Coliseum, Oakland, California
Television Station: CBS, NFL Sunday Ticket
Live Stream: FuboTV, NFL Sunday Ticket
Carr had only four incompletions on Monday night, thanks to a nice compliment of short, and long passes, as well as utilizing the running backs out of the backfield. He has mastered Jon Gruden’s offense, and for the rest of the AFC West, that could mean trouble.
Of course, this game is going to come down to whatever team can step up and stop the other team’s offense, as both have the ability to put up points in a hurry. The Raiders put on a show in front of the home fans in Week 1, and if they can hang in with the Chiefs in Week 2, you can expect another rowdy scene on Sunday afternoon.
