The Raiders Improved Offensive Line

The Oakland Raiders allowed not only zero sacks in Week 1 against Denver, they allowed zero QB hits at all. The Broncos have one of the best pass rushed in the NFL, let alone the AFC West, but the Raider’s offensive line completely dominated them.

The Chiefs recorded one sack against the Jaguars in Week 1, which would explain the success of the Jaguars quarterbacks. Without Dee Ford, the Chiefs struggled to get a pass rush on the Jaguars throughout the game.

If the Raiders can stop Von Miller and Bradley Chubb from getting to Derek Carr, they should have similar success against Chris Jones, Frank Clark, and Alex Okafor, although that is a solid group.

Not only did the Raiders offensive line improve in the pass protection, but they proved that they could open holes for Josh Jacobs, as well. Doug Martin rushed for 100 yards against Kansas City last season, and although you cannot compare things to last year, Josh Jacobs is better than Doug Martin, and it appears that the Chiefs defense has not improved.
