Gareon Conley vs Sammy Watkins

Gareon Conley was carted off last week after suffering an injury to his neck. Since then, he’s been a limited participate in practice and will be a full go for week 2 against the Kansas City. A matchup to keep an eye on will be the battle between Conley and Sammy Watkins.

Last week, Watkins torched the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, catching nine balls for 198-yards and three touchdowns. Conley will have his hands full, attempting to stop the high-flying Watkins. This matchup alone could be a huge factor in the final result of who comes away with the win.

Conley emerged last season as one of the better cover corners in the league, recording three interceptions and 15 passes defended. Though, he only saw limited action last week because of the injury, but when he’s at his best, Conley can shut down one side of a team’s passing attack.
