The secondary really struggled
The Raiders got burned all second quarter by the Chiefs offense, who seemed like they could do anything they want. Patrick Mahomes picked apart the Raiders secondary with ease and the offensive line gave him the time to do so.
The outing by the defense, which was close to embarrassing if it wasn’t already, played some of the worst football the Raiders have seen in a long time. Specifically, Curtis Riley who was beat multiple times on deep passes played an absolutely terrible game.
At one point, Mahomes was 6-6, 289 yards, and 4 touchdowns in a quarter. While it is never good to struggle against a division rival, it is even more embarrassing to give up legendary numbers to their opposing quarterback. Blown coverages killed this Raiders defensive backfield all game long.
