Bringing the pass rush

The Vikings struggle to protect Kirk Cousins, and the Raiders pass rush has improved a ton from last season. The Raiders were all over Joe Flacco in their Week 1 victory against the Broncos, and although they struggled to get to Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs offensive line is much better than the Vikings.

The Raiders pass rush has been led by Benson Mayowa, who ranks third in the NFL with 3.5 sacks this season. The Raiders will be sending the house this game, trying to bring the pressure to Kirk Cousins and force him to make bad throws.

If the Raiders sit back without bringing pressure, Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen will dominate the Raiders secondary. When the Raiders blitzed against the Broncos, Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton had no time to get open. The team did not do this against the Chiefs, and they were dominated down field because they gave the Chiefs time to develop the play.

The Raiders have good pass rushers this season, and I expect them to utilize them this week. The Raiders will come away with multiple sacks this game, and at least one interception due to Kirk Cousins being rushed.
