Prediction

Injuries will undoubtedly hamper the Colts on defense, but with how the Raiders have looked the last six quarters on offense they don’t have the advantage over any team.

Josh Jacobs needs to be featured a little more not only as a runner but as a pass catcher too. Jon Gruden should put him in situations to take advantage of the Colts linebackers in pass coverage. Then when it’s possible, the Raiders have to be far more aggressive passing to the intermediate and deep areas of the field. Darren Waller could find some favorable opportunities up the seams and over the middle.

Defensively there could be some issues upfront as there is a massive advantage when it comes to the Colts offensive line verse the Raiders defensive line. With this being the case, it is hard to see Oakland stopping Marlon Mack from being able to control the game on the ground. And when the Colts do pass, this defense has not shown any ability to stop offenses that know how to use their tight ends.

The Raiders will not go down easily in this game and expect it to be a close contest throughout. However, they have not proven to be a team that can close out games, particularly on the road. The Colts have proven to be the exact opposite at home. And on the sideline, Frank Reich has shown to handle his roster changes better than Gruden so at this point he deserves the edge regardless of injuries.
