Three Stars
Trevor Davis
The former fifth-round pick out of California was acquired via trade, and it was assumed he’d be needed mainly for return duties. Instead, Trevor Davis showed off his speed as a part of the offensive, running the sweep to perfection. He totaled 74 yards rushing on just two carries (one of which went for 60 yards and a touchdown).
Lamarcus Joyner
Lamarcus Joyner was one of the prized acquisitions this past free agency for the Raiders, but the Minnesota Vikings schemed him off the field last week. Against the Colts, it was a different story. Joyner’s presence was felt everywhere, and he tallied seven solo tackles and a pass deflection, displaying the versatility he was brought to Oakland for.
Maxx Crosby
Benson Mayowa (the Raiders’ leader in sacks-to-date) being inactive was a surprise, but perhaps it was to help open the door for Maxx Crosby. Crosby was a force in generating pressure on Jacoby Brissett, and the box score shows the impact he had on the game. Two solo tackles, two pass deflections and a forced fumble on the day.
