Three Duds
Eric Ebron
Last year in this same matchup it was the Colts’ tight ends that carved up the Raiders’ defense, and Eric Ebron was one of the culprits in making Oakland’s defense pay. On Sunday, it was a different story. Ebron managed to find the endzone, but he hauled in just one reception on five targets, truly making Jacoby Brissett’s job the more difficult.
Marlon Mack
Fantasy owners were likely thrilled to have Marlon Mack in their lineups going up against the Raiders at home. Instead, Mack was bottled up and held to just 39 yards on 11 carries, averaging a meager 3.5 yards per rush attempt. Overall, Oakland won the rushing battle by a mile.
Vontaze Burfict
Vontaze Burfict’s day ended early with the early ejection for hitting a defenseless player. Whether the ejection was warranted or not, Burfict’s controversial history likely was a factor in the ejection decision. The Raiders were lucky to have survived his absence on the defensive side of the ball, so Burfict has to be calculated in the future, knowing that he’s needed immensely as the quarterback of the defense.
