Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has seen his ups and downs this season, and here is a  look at the film behind Carr’s touchdowns and Interceptions.

Legendary head coach Bill Parcells once said: “You are what your record says you are,” and a 2-2 record adequately summarizes the roller coaster ride that is the 2019 Oakland Raiders season. Part of the reason for the team’s .500 record is the play of quarterback Derek Carr.

In the two victories the passer has looked a franchise player, but the other games, not so much.

In four games, the six-year veteran has compiled 888 passing yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. Those numbers are certainly nothing to be ashamed of, but also leave some doubt on his franchise quarterback status.

Many have felt this is a pivotal year for Carr because Oakland can walk away from his contract and absorb a $5 million cap hit in 2020. The inconsistency of his performance give skeptics reason to believe the quarterback won’t make it to Las Vegas, and leads many – like myself – to wonder where the margin for error lies for the gunslinger?

While there are plenty of throws that can answer the question above, Carr’s touchdowns and interceptions serve as great examples of where he excels and struggles. The “All-22” film provided by NFL Game Pass allows us to take a deep dive into those plays
