The Raiders have been surrounded with constant stigma of drafting a quarterback the last few seasons. Depending on how Derek Carr performs down the stretch of the 2019 season, the Raiders draft strategy of selecting a quarterback may increase, or vanish.

Carr’s fate of playing in Las Vegas remains in the palm of his own hands, but drafting a quarterback is very much possible with Gruden at the top of things. The closer it gets to the draft process, the easier it’ll be to realize where the Raiders land in the quarterback market.

Joe Burrow has arguably helped himself this college season more than anybody in the nation. He has NFL caliber size, while improving his passing attack this season with more games under his belt.

Burrow flashes nice touch on his throws and has some athletic ability, but he’s not a true runner by any means. He’s been a very nice surprise to talent evaluators, showing tons of progress as a pocket passing quarterback.
