Week 2 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The fire and excitement that was manifested in the Raiders home opener was still on full display in the first quarter of the game. The Raiders quickly put up 10 points to start the game and looked poise to continue the momentum through the game as the Raiders held the Chiefs offense to 31 yards in the first quarter and forced two 3 and outs.

The second quarter was a gut wrenching display of dominance in which the Chiefs quickly but up 28 unanswered points that completely knocked the wind out of the team. The Raiders tried to rebound and found themselves with a 1st and goal at the 4 yard line where the Raiders could have punched the ball in with a run However, Derek Carr saw an opportunity for an endzone fade and quickly audibled, but Tyrell Williams didn’t hear it, and it resulted in an interception.

The Raiders defense did a great job neutralizing the Chiefs offense in the second half, but the Raiders couldn’t move the ball down the field.

Final Score: Chiefs 28, Raiders 10
