Biggest Disappointment: Losing Johnathan Abram

Johnathan Abram quickly became a fan favorite during Hard Knocks for his motor and mouth. A player that would tell you what he was going to do to you then do it, Abram is a true definition of a junkyard dog that exemplifies the profile of a Raider.

As Abram took the field in the home opener vs Denver, he set the tone quickly and expeditiously as he was involved in every play, making tackles, flying around and sacrificing his body in the only fashion he knows how to. Unfortunately, during the first half of the Denver game, Abram tore his rotator cuff and labrum on a tackle.

Abram continued to play as the adrenaline kept him in the game, but the injury also meant it would require a season ending surgery and Abram would be placed on injured reserve. The loss of Abram for the season was certainly a blow to the team as his energy was greatly missed in our two losses.
