The Philadelphia Eagles are going to be in cap hell sooner than later with Carson Wentz wanting to get paid, as well as countless defensive players playing at an elite level wanting their share of the pie. Nelson Agholor not only carries a large-cap hit, but is in the last year of his deal in Philadelphia.

The Eagles are an offensive team, and can’t afford to pay Agholor his $10 million contract and even beyond. I expect him to be a free agent this upcoming year. Earlier in the offseason, I made an argument as to why the Colts would trade for him and I wasn’t right, but the logic was there.

I don’t think Agholor will be an Eagle next year, but I do think the move makes sense for the Raiders, who are desperate for a second receiver with massive upside. Agholor is a slot receiver who also makes a lot of plays in the blocking game as well.

Not only does he bring a winning attitude from the Eagles, he knows what it takes to win a Super Bowl, as he was part of the team with took out the New England Patriots.

Another reason the Eagles will be willing to part ways with him is they just signed Desean Jackson and their tight end, Zach Ertz, is the No. 1 receiver on their team, with Alshon Jefferey being the main wide-receiver behind Ertz.

Agholor would be a good fit in the Raiders offense and could make an immediate impact on a passing game which only involves Darren Waller and Tyrell Williams at this point. Teaming Algholor with the likes of Trevor Davis and J.J. Nelson would give the Raiders elite speed on the outside.
