Looking Ahead

The Oakland Raiders enter their bye week sitting at 3-2, which is a shock to many around NFL circles. This is a team that many expected to finish towards the bottom of the league this season, but after two straight losses to the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs, they have reeled off two straight wins against teams many believe will be in the playoff picture.

Oakland has a terrible schedule to start the year, but if they can keep stacking wins, the second half of the season is much easier. Overall, this is a team that can play with anyone if they can continue to pound the ball like they did on Sunday, and with a quarterback like Derek Carr, they can make sure they control the time of possession battle each week.

The win on Sunday was a huge one for the Raiders, who certainly have turned some heads over the last two weeks. The fact is, Oakland has gotten a lot better up front on both sides of the ball, and just think, the offensive line should get Gabe Jackson back soon after the bye week.
