Draft Wire – Luke Easterling

7. A.J. Epenesa – EDGE – Iowa

28. Tee Higgins – WR – Clemson

Another pass rusher, wide receiver combination from Luke Easterling’s latest mock draft has the Raiders making out like bandits as they head to Las Vegas. With the seventh overall pick Easterling has the Silver and Black landing a steal with A.J. Epenesa falling into their laps. The Iowa pass rusher has shown out this season and is the second ranked edge player behind Chase Young of Ohio State. If the Raiders could get their hands on Epenesa, they could draft nobody the rest of the draft and still come out as winners. Well, not really, but you get the point.

With Chicago’s pick at number 28, Tee Higgins is the pick to bolster the wide receiver group. In a class loaded with talent at the wide receiver position, it is not surprising to see so many mocked to the Raiders. Higgins is tall at 6-foot-4 and still has quality speed on the outside. He would revamp the wide receiver core and give Derek Carr, or whoever is throwing the ball for Las Vegas, a great target for many years.
