Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders welcomed a familiar face in the Chicago Bears’ Khalil Mack to their “home field,” as the Silver and Black played host at the new Tottenham Spurs Stadium across the pond. Without their top two wide receivers, without Vontaze Burfict helming the defense, and facing a motivated Khalil Mack and top-tier Bears defense, the ending had “loss” written all over.
Instead, it was Chicago sent home from London with their second loss on the season. The Raiders, by way of an excellent game script from Jon Gruden, jumped out to an early 17-0 lead by halftime. Yet similar to last week, the Bears were able to claw back and overtake the lead 21-17 thanks to some Oakland miscues.
But with Josh Jacobs putting the team on his back, the Raiders orchestrated a beautiful game-winning drive that ended with Jacobs in the endzone. Gareon Conley grabbed a game-sealing interception, and the Raiders won 24-21, sending the Bears home with an identical 3-2 record and with Khalil Mack going sack-less by the days’ end.
