The NFL’s Week 5 is in the books, with the AFC West seeing each of the four teams in action. Following Sunday’s outcomes, let’s recap how the week went for the division.

Having past the quarter mark of the NFL’s regular season, we have a relatively small, but still meaningful, sample size of how the NFL’s teams are performing. The AFC as a whole is less competitive in comparison to the NFC, and thus allows the potential for early season races for prospective Wild Cart spots in the postseason.

The same can be said for the AFC West, which has proven to be a closer than expected through Week 5. We saw the Oakland Raiders head across the pond, and the Kansas City Chiefs in the spotlight Sunday night, while the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos met for a divisional matchup.

Overall, it was another exciting weekend for the division, which is currently led by the Chiefs sitting at 4-1. The Raiders enter their bye week in second place at 3-2, after two strong victories against the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears, while the Chargers and Broncos round out the division.

Here’s the recap for each of the AFC West teams:
