Raiders offensive line outmatched Bears defense

With all the talk about Khalil Mack leading up to the London game, the Raiders game plan against the all-pro pass-rusher was phenomenal. Mack and the Bears didn’t record one sack throughout Sunday’s game, which is the first time this season that they’ve been held sack-less.

The Raiders offensive line had a large task of facing the Bears defensive front, and based off their performance, they were ready for the challenge. The Bears came into the game ranked fourth in sacks with 17 on the season, although the Raiders offensive line really neutralized their pass rushing attack.

Derek Carr did experience pressure from time-to-time, but huge credit to the offensive unit to keep him upright. Sunday’s performance showed that Trent Brown was worth the huge contract that he was given last offseason, and Kolton Miller looks to have silenced the critics that harped on him due to his poor rookie season. Rookie fullback Alec Ingold was another driving force in the blocking game that not only helped keep the pocket clean for Carr, but also led the charge for running back Josh Jacobs.
