3 Duds

Khalil Mack

That’s right, who would have figured that Khalil Mack finds himself on the side of trending downward following Sunday’s loss? But Mack had a subpar day (by his standards) after being held in check by the Raiders’ offensive line. Mack was held to just three tackles, one QB hit, and most importantly zero sacks. For a player that has been touted as an MVP candidate this season, Sunday was not an MVP type of game.

David Montgomery

After the fallout of last week’s helmet-to-helmet hit, many figured that the absence of Vontaze Burfict, the quarterback of the Raiders’ defense, would be felt heavily against the Bears. In reality: no Burfict no problem. The defense held the running game in check and was it not for a Carr-Jacobs miscue, then David Montgomery could not have salvaged his day with a rushing touchdown. Montgomery had just 25 rushing yards on 11 carries, averaging 2.3 yards per rush.

Hunter Renfrow

Oakland was at a disadvantage in the passing game as well, as Tyrell Williams and J.J. Nelson (arguably their top two wideouts) were inactive due to injury. The Raiders need their other receivers to step up, but Sunday was more proof that Hunter Renfrow is still finding his footing. Renfrow had just one catch for 12 yards on five targets.
