With five weeks in the books ,and the bye week on the horizon, let’s take a look at the Oakland Raiders rookie report cards.
The offseason was a busy one for first-time general manager Mike Mayock and the Oakland Raiders. Oakland made nine selections in the 2019 NFL Draft, and the current roster includes seven undrafted rookies.
With such a young core, it’s important those players develop, otherwise any hopes of a bright future will feel very dim. So far the rookies have seen quite a bit of playing time, and a 3-2 record should give fans optimism.
Of course, the rest of the season will determine if that feeling sticks.
A handful of injuries make judging this group as a whole challenging, but the Raiders need to see more production from the some rookies that have been on the field. Every rookie has a chance to turn their season around in the remaining 11 contests, so consider this a progress report of where each player stands.
