The Decent

Hunter Renfrow

Heading into the season, expectations for the two-time national champion were higher than a typical fifth round pick. Hunter Renfrow has only accumulated 12 catches for 101 yards, and hasn’t really stood out as a potential weapon for quarterback Derek Carr.

The Raiders are in search of a number two receiver and the team would certainly like to see the rookie step into that role moving forward.

Grade: C

Foster Moreau

The tight end was rather quiet through the first three games of the year. However, Week 4 was a small breakout for Foster Moreau, hauling in three catches for 30 yards and his first career touchdown.

Continuing to be a difference in the passing game will definitely improve the rookie’s pedigree, however, that’s not the sole reason he was drafted.

The day after the NFL Draft, the Raiders released blocking tight end Lee Smith, suggesting Moreau will take over that role. In the last few games, the former LSU Tiger has improved as a run blocker with PFF run blocking grades of 61.0, 62.4 and 67.1.

If the last few weeks are any indication, he will be the full package at tight end.
