The Raiders proved they were willing to choose scheme fit over talent upside the last draft when they took Clelin Ferrell. There is still a need to upgrade the pass rush, and a player like Khalid Kareem could fit in nicely.

Kareem is a well built to be a prototypical 4-3 defensive end with his size (6’4, 260lbs) and tremendous length.

He doesn’t have the greatest first step, but it is good enough given how he uses his hands and arm length to control pass blockers. He has a good bull rush that consistently gets tackles on their heels and something he can rely on to get consistent pressure.

Kareem is not an elite athlete, which is why he’s not as highly coveted as his teammate Julian Okwara, but that could allow the Raiders to steal a quality starter on day 3.
