214. Cole McDonald – Quarterback, Hawaii

This late in the draft, you’re just looking for traits, and Cole McDonald has a big frame and a lively arm.

The Raiders have a bunch of below-average backups on their roster with little to no upside, so bringing in McDonald can not hurt. He is also athletic enough to extend plays and will gladly push the ball down the field.

His throwing motion is a bit long and funky leading to some accuracy issues, and he is a gunslinger in the purest definition, so interceptions come with the territory. He is a project given the simple scheme he runs in Hawaii but could become capable backup if given time.
