Curtis Riley
There is no more simple way to put it than the Oakland Raiders are better off without Curtis Riley. It was said in the preseason that Karl Joseph and Curtis Riley were competing for a starting spot, but once Johnathan Abram went down, Riley would get his chance.
In the two games that Riley started, he made mistake after mistake, blowing coverages and missing assignments play after play. After those two games, Erik Harris has stepped in and played great, improving the Raiders defense exponentially.
Riley clearly has some skills that other teams would like to have, but it is hard seeing him step on the field much for the Raiders. Against the Bears, the Raiders played in nickel the majority of the game, and Riley did not play a single snap.
Riley is only 27 years old, and the Raiders could get back a late draft pick that they gave away earlier in the season by trading Riley.
