Michael Renner – Pro Football Focus

Pick No. 19: Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

Pick No. 21: Marvin Wilson, DT, Florida State

Pro Football Focus is always interesting, given how different that can view players at times due to their unique grading system.

Michael Renner and the PFF crew just updated their draft guide, and this mock draft has the Raiders adding speed and power.

The first pick is Henry Ruggs III, who might be the most explosive player in all of college football. With 4.2 speed, Ruggs is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball as he has 22 touchdowns on 76 career receptions. He has also proven to be a true receiver in terms of ball skills and route running, so he is much more than just a speed guy.

The next pick is a bit of a surprise as Renner has the Raiders taking defensive tackle Marvin Wilson. Interior d-line has not really been a position that been described as a need for Oakland, but this could be a scenario of best player available according to Renner’s draft board.

It is hard to watch Florida State these days, but Wilson immediately stands out as a presence in the middle. What sets him apart is his tremendous pass rush ability for someone who is 6’5 311 lbs. He already has 4 sacks this season and has posted a 92.3 pass-rush grade thus far.
