Gareon Conley

After Gareon Conley put together a quality 2018 campaign last season, the start to his 2019 year has been far below expectations.

Through the first five games it appears Conley is the cornerback that opposing teams are targeting, versus attacking Daryl Worley‘s side of the field. It’s no secret that Aaron Rodgers is one of the best passers in the NFL, so if Conley has another unpleasant performance, it could be a field day for Rodgers and the Packers offense.

The former first-round pick has shown he can be a productive corner in the NFL, however his efforts this season have not been up to par. In 2018, Conley finished the season with three interceptions,15 passes defended and 37 tackles. He’ll have quite the adjustments that need to be made in order to get back to that 2018 form that he finished last season with.

Conley is a player to watch this week to see if he can get back on track while facing a depleted Green Bay receiving core. Aaron Rodgers might be dealt a pass catching group that consist of Allen Lazard, Jake Kumerow, Darrius Shepherd and former Raider Ryan Grant.
