The Oakland Raiders hit the road again in Week 7, traveling to Green Bay to take on the 5-1 Packers on Sunday, and were beaten inside Lambeau Field.

The Oakland Raiders knew they had a tall task ahead of them on Sunday, as they traveled to Green Bay to take on the Packers. Oakland has been road warriors since Week 2, though in this one, they would be getting a Packers team on a short week, after beating the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football in Week 6.

Oakland got the ball first, and drove down the field, as Daniel Carlson connected on a 45-yard field goal to get the scoring started. Green Bay struck right back, as Aaron Rodgers hit Aaron Jones for a 21-yard touchdown, putting the Packers up 7-3.

A Derek Carr to Foster Moreau touchdown would put the Raiders up 10-7, but it would be all downhill from there. A turnover, and then blown coverage would put the Raiders down 21-10 entering the second half, as a crucial turn of events hurt them in the first half.

The final two minutes of the first half proved to be a horror show for the Raiders, as Derek Carr fumbled the ball out of the end zone reaching for the pylon. When the Packers got the ball back, Rodgers led his team down the field, hitting Jake Kumerow to put the team up 21-10 as  the team’s headed to the locker rooms for half time.

After the half, the Packers continued to do damage against the Raiders secondary, as Rodgers hit for a 59-yard bomb on the first play of the half. That led to Rodgers scoring on a three-yard touchdown run, but the Raiders did not go away.

On the ensuing drive, Carr led the team down the field, connecting with Darren Waller for his first touchdown catch as an Oakland Raider. Waller, who signed a monster extension this past week, was huge on the drive, as the Raiders brought the game closer.

However, Rodgers dominated in this one, and drove Green Bay back down the field, and hit Jimmy Graham for his fourth touchdown of the game. The Raiders had faced guys like Joe Flacco and Chase Daniel this season, but Rodgers proved that against an elite signal-caller, this defense is going to struggle.

Overall, the Raiders looked lost on defense, but had a nice gameplan on offense, and will now look to the Houston Texans in Week 8.

Here are the highlights from Sunday.
