Week 7 is in the books with each of the AFC West teams in action. Here’s our recap of how the Oakland Raiders and the rest of the division fared on Sunday.

The Oakland Raiders were back in action following their bye week, as the entire AFC West was on the field on Sunday, including one divisional matchup. The Raiders continued their stretch on the road against the Green Bay Packers while the Los Angeles Chargers faced off against Ryan Tannehill and the Tenessee Titans.

The Denver Broncos hosted the Kansas City Chiefs to kick off Thursday Night Football.

Through seven weeks of football one thing is clear: the AFC West is open for business and up grabs. That’s a telling statement given the expectations before the season, but its true nonetheless. The events that unfolded in Week 7 only add to the statement.

Here’s how the week unfolded, starting with a sore sight at Lambeau Field.

Oakland Raiders

The matchup between the Raiders and the Packers was not a fantasy football player’s dream scenario, as both teams had injuries, particularly in the receiving corps. For Oakland, they headed to Lambeau without Tyrell Williams once again, as well without Trent Brown to help fortify the offensive line.

Aaron Rodgers did exactly what he does, dicing up the Raiders suspect secondary for five touchdowns through the air (with an additional touchdown on the ground). But ultimately it was costly mistakes that (again) plagued the Raiders. This time, it was a goal-line fumble by Derek Carr that was reminiscent of the same play against the Dallas Cowboys in 2017.

If anything, it proved that the margin for error is little to nonexistent for these Raiders. Rodgers made them pay the price, and the result was a 42-24 beating by Green Bay.
