Darren Waller

Darren Waller continues to play at a pro bowl level for Oakland and finally found the endzone last week in Green Bay.

He caught seven of his eight targets and remains the league leader in catch percentage at 88 percent. He is easily the most reliable pass-catcher on the Raiders offense but will face a nice challenge against Texans Tashaun Gipson. Despite being 5’11, Gipson has proven to be a tough matchup for many of the best tight ends in the NFL over the years and was good against Chiefs Travis Kelce earlier this season.

Gipson left last week with a back injury but is expected to play so he and Waller will undoubtedly be matched up. The Texans secondary is overall bad, so this is certainly the most intriguing one on one battle. It is easy to describe Waller’s size advantage, but every tight end Gipson plays against has that, so it worth watching to see what exactly makes him effective.

Waller has been unstoppable this season, so if he can win this matchup too, he’ll continue to show he’s a rising star at the position.
