Kansas City Chiefs

There was chatter of Patrick Mahomes possibly returning to action on Sunday night with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. That possibility was put to bed, and it was up to Matt Moore under center to bring home a win for the division-leading Chiefs.

Mahomes is the engine that fuels the Chiefs, and it’s not rocket science to comprehend that once you take away that fulcrum, the offense simply won’t perform at its peak. Moore held his nonetheless, throwing for two touchdowns and zero interceptions, and for a moment the Chiefs held a 17-14 lead. But the two best players on the field played for Green Bay.

The two Aarons (Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones) dominated and helped seal the victory for the Packers. Rodgers threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns, while Jones was dominant in the passing game, hauling in seven catches for 159 yards and two touchdowns. The Packers won 31-24.
