Denver Broncos

Joe Flacco wasn’t in the best of moods following the Denver Broncos’ loss to the Indianapolis Colts. With all due respect, he hit the nail on the coffin when voicing his displeasure with the playcalling. The Broncos indeed “played not to lose,” and it cost them in the endgame.

Up at one point 13-3, Frank Reich trusted his 46-year old veteran kicker to deliver the game-winning kick, and deliver he did. The 51-yard field goal gave the Colts a 15-13 win, and sent the Broncos to 2-6 on the year, last in the AFC West.

Neither team was particularly good on third down, but the Broncos were abysmal, converting 2/12 on the day. At the bottom of the division, what lies ahead is whether or not the Broncos will be sellers ahead of the trade deadline.
