The Oakland Raiders came up short in what felt like a game they should have won. Here are three stars and three duds from Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans.

The Oakland Raiders finally saw their absurd stretch on the road come to end, and at the end of the tunnel was a matchup against Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans. Another week, another premier quarterback under center looking to exploit the Raiders’ defense. And yet for a majority of the game, Oakland held the lead and had a victory within grasp.

The final score read 27-24 in favor of the Texans, but this felt like a game that the Raiders should have won. In a way, that’s an even tougher pill to swallow, knowing that the Raiders did everything right to win, but ultimately it was penalties and missed opportunities that came back to haunt them. All of the above, in combination with the playmaking of Deshaun Watson, sent Oakland back home at 3-4.
