Three Duds

Tyrell Williams

Tyrell Williams continued to find the endzone on Sunday, going for 91 yards and a touchdown. But he also caught just three passes on six targets, and the drops that he personally accounted for were huge missed opportunities for the Raiders. Williams will tell you himself that the drops were killer in a game that the Raiders should have won.

Raiders Penalties

Illegal contact on Nicholas Morrow, holding on Richie Incognito, a roughing the passer (albeit questionable) penalty on Maxx Crosby, there’s plenty of examples to point out. At the end of the day, the Raiders were called for 11 penalties that amounted to 100 yards. It’s tough to win any game when the penalties are killing any possible momentum.

Gareon Conley

There’s a reason why Jon Gruden didn’t mind trading away Gareon Conley to the Texans ahead of Sunday’s matchup. Conley struggled while in Oakland, and he was exposed in coverage on Sunday by Tyrell Williams for a gain of 22 yards and on his lone touchdown grab of the day. When Gruden saw Conley lined up across, he wisely went and exploited that matchup at a moment’s notice.
