New England has a habit of trading away players in their prime if they can get good value for them. With that said, maybe head coach Bill Belichick would part ways with one of the leagues best corners if they offered them a first-round pick.

Jones was actually signed as an undrafted free agent in 2016. This year, though, is his best year so far.

If you take out the game against the New York Giants, where he allowed a touchdown, the average passer rating when throwing his way is 69.4. He also has a 52.9% catching percentage and has defended five passes on the season.

Jones is also on one of the best defenses in the league this year with New England. Even in the Giants game, where Daniel Jones had a 100 quarterback rating when throwing his way, he only allowed 2 catches for 13 yards, but the touchdown is what killed him. His best game was against Buffalo, where the passer-rating when throwing his way was just over a 33.

The Raiders are in need of a shutdown corner after the dismantling they took against the Chiefs and Packers, and Jones could be a good option to fill that role. If Oakland wants to make a serious run in 2019, they have to get better in the secondary.
