After being away from the Coliseum since Week 2, the Oakland Raiders return home to take on the Detroit Lions in Week 9. Here is the AFC West slate.

The 2019 NFL season is well under way, and the Oakland Raiders have gotten out to a surprising 3-4 start through the first seven games of the season. In the AFC West, only the Kansas City Chiefs have a winning record, but they lost their quarterback two weeks ago, and it could have a lasting effect in Week 9.

Here is our preview, and predictions for all four games on the AFC West slate in Week 9.

Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders

The Detroit Lions are fresh off a solid victory this past weekend against the New York Giants, and they will now head West to take on the Oakland Raiders. For the Raiders, they are coming off a terrible loss at the hands of the Houston Texans, but are returning home for the first time since Week 2 of the NFL season.

This one is going to go down to the wire, but with the Coliseum crowd rocking, I like the Raiders to come away with the victory, and move to .500 on the season. The schedule gets light for the Silver and Black after this game, and the playoffs appear on the horizon after this victory.

Prediction: Raiders 28, Lions 24
